Did you know that there are over 5 billion web pages on the World Wide Web today? As enormous as this may seem, the size continues to increase every day. The growth rate is phenomenal, almost unbelievable. Everywhere you look and listen, TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, ALL of the off-web media are running advertisements promoting the web pages of every kind of business. It's dot.com this and dot.com that everywhere. Everyone wants a piece of the world wide web that they can call their own.

As with the other sites above, you will find their listings at or near the top of Google, Yahoo and AOL. This is a premier jewelry casting company and they serve only the professional trade: they make castings for jewelers in different parts of the USA. Their actual web address is http://www.jewelry-casting.net I am the designer, webmaster, promoter, etc for SouthEast and have been since their first day on the Internet.

Superb Gold & Diamond Jewelry by Henry: Few jewelry shoppes are actually owned and operated by Master Jewelers such as Henry. Henry's Fine Jewelry is recognized as one of the premier Jewelry stores in all of Tulsa and in much of the USA. Gold, Silver, Platinum...much more.

PeaKaBoo.Net: PeaKaBoo.Net is not just another search engine. The most unusual things about PeaKaBoo.Net are that sites are accepted only if they are "clean" and, apparently, ethical. Each submission is examined by a human editor. If the site is within the the PeaKaBoo guidelines it is then "spidered" (computer site gathering robot) and added to the directory.

There are no fees at all involved in being listed at PeaKaBoo. If a site is within the guidelines it will be accepted.

Note that the PeaKaBoo.Net search engine is my own creation operated as a public service so that people may have an accessible database of web pages that are family friendly and safe to shop.

Very Important Note: There is a widely believed myth, a false belief, about web site promotion. The myth is that you can succeed at cheating your way to the top by a great variety of "tricks". A few years ago there was some truth to this on some of the search engines, but this is no longer true even in the slightest for any of the large (worthwhile) search engines. Every trick ever done is now automatically recognized by the new breed of search engine robots. The result is usually unpleasant to the offenders. The listings can be ignored, banned or removed without notice. The privilege can be suddenly revoked for attempts at cheating. It is sometimes referred to as attempting to "subvert" the purpose of the search engine.

My favorite search engine is Google. It has the largest database (actually 11 different databases right now), and a good listing on Google is worth much more in sales and dollars than several of the other major engines combined. All of the web pages that I design are entirely within all of the Google guidelines. There are no attempts at cheating. The sites are designed to provide great content for searchers; they all have HIGHLY relevant and useful content that the search engines and the searchers reward.
